
Charges have been officially filed against a 30-year-old Oneida man after he allegedly fired a weapon at police officers last month.
Carl Joseph King is facing a charge of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide with the Use of a Dangerous Weapon, as well as one count of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
King reportedly pulled up to the Oneida Tribal Police Department just before 1:45 AM on February 21st, and appeared to be heavily intoxicated. When Officer Dakota Oskey made contact with King, he reportedly fired a gun at the officer.
Oskey returned fire, and struck King, who was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.
King is being held on a $100,000 cash bond, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 23rd.
Per department policy, Oskey has been placed on administrative leave.
