Freshman goaltender Cameron Rowe turned away 40 shots and national scoring leader Cole Caufield put the puck in the net twice Saturday.
The 2-1 win at Michigan State gave the Wisconsin Badgers their first regular-season title in 21 years.
Rowe leads all N-C-A-A freshman goaltenders with a .943 save percentage and a one-point-71 goals-against average.
The Badgers are seeded number-one in the Big Ten Tournament next week.
They play on March 15th against the Notre Dame-Penn State winner. The game will be played at the Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend.
