
As has been the case for the past month or so, the good numbers are up and the bad numbers are down in the Manitowoc County COVID-19 Updates from over the weekend.
Only 10 new cases were added in the Friday (March 5th) Saturday and Sunday reports, bringing the pandemic total up to 7,260.
The number of people hospitalized fell by 10 during those reports as well, after it actually rose by 8 in the first four days of the month.
No new deaths were reported, leaving that total at 64.
On the vaccination front, 2,759 shots were administered over the weekend, with 1,214 of those being frost doses. This brings those totals up to 23,478 shots administered, with 14,909 of those being first doses.
This means that 8,569 people have completed their regimen, or roughly 10.7% of the county, while 18.9% of county residents have at least gotten one shot.
In Sheboygan County, the Division of Health Services reported 10 new cases on Friday, along with 10 new recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 12,957 confirmed cases, and 12,687 recoveries, while 139 cases remain active.
They also did not report any new deaths, meaning that total remained stagnant at 139.
