A Manitowoc man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to kill his wife.
Officers were asked to be on the lookout for a vehicle in the area of Maritime Drive and North 8th Street just before 4:15 PM on Friday (February 5th), after dispatched was informed that the driver of the vehicle was being threatened by a passenger.
Officers located and pulled over the vehicle, but when it stopped, a male passenger got out and began to flee the scene. The responding officers were able to catch the man, and placed him under arrest with no further incident.
They then spoke with the driver who explained that the man was her husband, who was not allowed to have contact with her, per court order.
The two share two children together and were taking them to the park. The man became upset when the woman asked him to get diapers for a child, and began swearing at and threatening the woman.
A witness in the vehicle corroborated the story, and the man was charged with Disorderly Conduct, with a Domestic Violence Enhancer, and Violating a Probation Hold.
