The Manitowoc County Breakers Bantam hockey team competed at the state tournament in Ashland this weekend.
It simply wasn’t their weekend, as they fell to the host team 8-1 in what Coach Jamie Dickrell called a “hard-fought game.” Benson Dickrell scored the only goal of the game for the Breakers and was assisted by Peter Cigler.
Their next matchup was against Marinette on Saturday, which they lost 8-2. Caden Johnson and Ethan Christiansen scored for the Breakers.
The final game of the tournament didn’t go much better for the local team, as they fell 10-2. Caden Jonson was the only Breaker to score in that contest, picking up both goals in a strong individual performance.
