One state champion has been crowned thus far at the WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament.
It was in Division-5 at La Crosse Center where in the championship game last night it was the Hustisford Falcons 69, McDonnell Central Catholic Macks 35.
Meanwhile, today and tonight’s tournament action will switch back and forth between La Crosse and the Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh.
In Division-4 this morning at La Crosse Center the Prairie School will take on Martin Luther at 9:05 AM, followed by Lourdes Academy battling Edgar at 12:25 PM. The two winners face-off for the state title at 6:35.
In the Division-3 semi’s today in Oshkosh Racine St. Catherine’s will take on Wrightstown at 10:45 AM. Then, Lake Country Lutheran faces Saint Croix Central in a 2:10 PM tipoff, with the winners playing for a Gold Ball tonight at 8:30.
Action in the division-1 and-2 portions of the State Boys Basketball Tournament will take place tomorrow (March 6th).
