A quick-thinking detective retrieved the face mask Jason Kijewski wore while he was being interviewed when he threw it in the trash.
The DNA from that mask linked him to a burglary and fatal shooting in the Town of Leeds a year-and-a-half ago.
Kijewski had his bond set at $2 million during a Wednesday hearing.
He returns to court for a preliminary on April 23rd.
The 43-year-old West Allis man is accused of killing Keith Wolf when he broke into Wolf’s house.
Kijewski entered a not-guilty plea to a charge of first-degree intentional homicide and burglary with a dangerous weapon during his court appearance.
