Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s Thursday when a group of teachers at Madison East High School holds classes outside.
They’re doing it to protest plans for a return to the classroom.
They say they plan to set up folding tables, chairs, and computers and conduct their online classes from the lawn in front of the school between 8:00 a-m and noon.
The teachers say they plan created by the Madison Metropolitan School District isn’t safe and it leaves too many critical safety questions unanswered.
Teachers from La Follette High School and some other schools are also expected to hold classes outdoors Thursday.
