A 26-year-old male who fled police after a routine traffic stop early this morning (Wednesday) remains in the County Jail. Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa set bail at $500 cash for Alexander D. Gilbert who is charged with Fleeing/Eluding an Officer.
Gilbert provided no address to the court.
An MTPD officer noticed a driver speeding East on Washington Street near Walgreen’s and pulled Gilbert over—noticing that his windows were likely illegally tinted. He sped away before a “tint test” was administered.
He eluded officers before being arrested in Two Rivers without incident. Conditions of bail include providing an address to the court plus photos and prints to MPD within 72 hours of release. An initial appearance is scheduled for March 15th at 1:30 p.m.
