The Wisconsin women’s hockey team has won the W-C-H-A regular-season title for the fifth time in the last six years.
The Badgers beat Minnesota-Duluth 4-3 in overtime Saturday behind two goals from Daryl Watts.
Brette Pettet had tied the score at three apiece with just over a minute left in regulation.
Watt’s second score in overtime locked down the team’s ninth league title overall and gives Wisconsin the top seed in next weekend’s Final Faceoff.
The Badgers take on Minnesota Saturday in the semifinals at 1:00 p-m on the Gophers’ home ice.
