Playing without All-American candidate Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois still managed to defeat the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday 74-69.
That completed the first sweep of the season series against the Badgers for Illinois since 2005.
Badgers senior guard D’Mitrik Trice almost engineered a comeback win all by himself, scoring 19 points in the final two minutes.
Trice finished with 29 points and Micah Potter came off the bench to score 15.
Wisconsin’s next game is at Purdue Tuesday.
