The pandemic caused virtually all businesses to modify their strategic plans in some manner, including how they address workforce development.
Many businesses reduced or eliminated training for safety and/or budget reasons. Trainers needed to modify the training to ensure safe and effective delivery.
Lakeshore Technical College’s Workforce Solutions division, which provides continuing education, seminars, and assessment services to local businesses and industries, took the opportunity over the past year to modify its training delivery options. The college has over 50 learning opportunities listed in its recently published spring 2021 seminar catalog. Lakeshore is offering topics in advanced manufacturing, leadership, safety and compliance, industrial maintenance, and other areas. Course delivery varies by topic.
