The Manitowoc County Health Department is working with the State to procure specific allocations for County educators.
The Department is working with schools to order enough vaccines to ensure each and every teacher and school staff member will be able to receive a vaccine if desired.
These doses will be arriving via a special, educator-focused allocation from the State and will be separate from the community clinics.
The State has also directed local health departments to vaccinate people over 65 (and other previously eligible individuals) before expanding to include additional eligible groups.
The Health Department will therefore hold an additional clinic for our older adult population before advancing to other populations who become eligible on March 1st.
