
For only the 4th time in the past two weeks, the Manitowoc County Health Department reported double-digit new COVID-19 cases yesterday (February 25th).
13 new cases were added, bringing the pandemic total up to 7,226, with 39 people being treated at northeast region hospitals.
There were no new deaths reported, leaving that total at 63 for the 7th consecutive day.
On the vaccination front, 422 more people received shots yesterday, bringing the total number of shots administered up to 17,530. 12,115 of those were first dose shots, meaning 5,415 people are now fully immunized, or roughly 6.8% of the county.
15.3% of county residents have received at least the first dose of the vaccine, according to the Health Department report.
In Sheboygan County, the number of new cases and the number of recoveries were exactly the same.
Both statistics reported an increase of 21, meaning the pandemic totals are now at 12,847 confirmed cases, and 12,573 recoveries, while 146 cases remain active.
There were no new deaths reported by the Division of Public Health, leaving that total at 128.
