The names of the people involved in the officer-involved shooting over the weekend at the Oneida Tribal Police Department have been released.
An individual, now identified as 30-year-old Carl King of Oneida, pulled into the Department parking lot at around 1:30 AM on Sunday (February 21st) and began acting erratically.
An Oneida Police Officer, identified as Dakota Oskey, responded to the situation and exchanged gunfire with King.
Oskey was not hit by any rounds fired, but King was and is still being treated for his injuries. At the last word, he is in stable condition.
The details of what lead to the shooting have still not been released by the DOJ’s Division of Criminal Investigation.
