Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is getting a nice little bump in pay after meeting the requirements of the N-F-L’s “proven performance escalator.”
Valdes-Scantling will have a base salary of almost two-point-two-million dollars next season.
The escalator is available to all players drafted outside of the first round if they are on the field for 35-percent of their team’s offensive or defensive snaps in two of their first three seasons. The speedy third-year pro played 65-percent of the Packers’ offensive snaps.
Valdes-Scantling was the only Packers to earn the escalator.
