Compared to last year’s numbers, January was a bit of a down month for home sales in Manitowoc County.
According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association, in January of 2020, 61 homes were sold, compared to 55 this past month. That is a decline of about 9.8%.
That being said, the average price did go up 15% from $113,000 in 2020 to just shy of $130,000, and each home spent an average of 83 days on the market, a drop of 56 days.
Compare all that to the state averages, which saw the number of sales increased by 9.8%, from 4,245 last January to 4,659 this past month. The average price also rose from $190,000 to $210,000, while homes spent an average of 17 fewer days on the market.
