Manitowoc Councilman Aaron Bailey has called for a recount for the Spring Primary Election.
Bailey missed out on making it on the General Election ballot when he only garnered 50 votes, compared to the 96 received by Tim Boldt, and the 55 votes for Scott Pelot.
In a video on Facebook, Bailey said he does not believe the election was rigged, he just wants some clarity.
“I don’t have anything negative to say…in any form or fashion about how the Primary Election was held,” he clarified. “I just know that when it is that close you definitely want to double-check.”
According to City Clerk, Mackenzie Reed-Kadow, the recount is scheduled to take place this morning, starting at 9:00 AM in the Lower Level of City Hall.
