A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Illinois activist for his actions during the August protest following Jacob Blake’s shooting in Kenosha.
62-year-old Clyde McLemore of Zion was charged Friday with attempted battery to a law enforcement officer.
Investigators say McLemore kicked in a door at the Kenosha Public Safety Building while saying he wanted to break an officer’s fingers.
McLemore founded the Black Lives Matter chapter in Lake County, Illinois and he was involved in several protests after Blake was shot in the back by a Kenosha officer.
