A Manitowoc man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a kitchen knife.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the 800 block of North 14th Street earlier this month to hear from a woman who wanted to report a domestic incident from September.
The woman said she was living with her 26-year-old boyfriend at the time, and they had gotten into an argument regarding her vehicle. She told him that he was not allowed to use her car, and he allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to kill her with it.
The woman was able to escape the home, thanks to some friends of the suspect, who convinced her that they would “take care of” the situation.
She did eventually decide to report it to the police, who have not been able to locate the man.
He is now facing a charge of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety with a Weapon.
