A Manitowoc duo was arrested over the weekend after they allegedly stole items from the Manitowoc Fleet Farm.
Officers were informed of the theft at around 4:15 Friday (February 19th) afternoon and located the suspects inside the store upon their arrival. The suspects, one male, and one female entered a vehicle, saw the police, and fled the scene.
The female driver took off north on South 41st Street at speeds of around 50 miles per hour, before turning east on Rock Street. The perusing officers lost track of the vehicle after they turned north on McArthur Dive, east on Rasher Street, and north on South 35th Street.
Officers returned to the store, where they reviewed video surveillance which showed the duo putting items in a backpack.
The suspect vehicle was later located in a driveway in the 900 block of South 26th Street, and officers saw the suspects enter the home. Both suspects were found in the basement of the residence and arrested.
The 30-year-old male was charged with Misdemeanor Retail Theft, four counts of Felony Bail Jumping, and a Probation Hold, while the 20-year-old female was charged with Fleeing from an Officer, a felony.
