A snowplow driver in West Bend and a Madison Good Samaritan are being praised for rescuing two small boys who were found outside in frigid temperatures.
David Gehrke was plowing West Bend streets when he spotted five-year-old Maddox Pierce at about 4:00 a-m Friday.
He wrapped the boy in his jacket, turned up the heat in his truck, and called 9-1-1. Wednesday morning in Madison, the scene was repeated.
A Good Samaritan spotted a five-year-old boy outside an apartment building. The autistic child couldn’t speak and tell police officers where he lived.
After about an hour, he was finally reunited with his caretaker, who had fallen asleep.
Both boys are okay after their adventures.
