The N-F-L has informed its teams they will have an extra $5 million in cap space for 2021.
The memo about the salary cap floor went out this week, and was based on a final review of the league’s 2020 revenue.
That means teams like the Green Bay Packers will have at least $180-million to spend on salaries this season – and possibly more.
The Packers will still need to get rid of about $20-million in salaries to fit under the cap, but general manager Brian Gutekunst has said he is confident he won’t have to gut the team to make it.
