The 34-year-old driver who survived a 70-foot drop after his car went off the side of Milwaukee’s Zoo Interchange has been charged with three traffic violations.
Richard Oliver is recovering from a broken back and broken leg at home after being discharged from a hospital.
Investigators say Oliver was driving 77 miles-an-hour in a 55 zone when the accident happened.
There is no indication that alcohol or drug use were factors, but he was traveling too fast for the conditions and speed limit at the time.
Oliver was cited for operating while revoked, unreasonable and imprudent speed, and failure to keep the vehicle under control.
