A couple of officers in the Manitowoc Police Department had an interesting time arresting a woman found in possession of Marijuana.
The officers had responded to a call about a trespassing woman at home in the 2300 block of South 23rd Street. The homeowner said they didn’t want to press charges, they just wanted the woman out of their home.
As the officers were removing the woman, they learned she had two felony warrants out for her arrest through the Two Rivers Police Department.
When they informed her she was under arrest, she tensed her arms, making it more difficult for them to place her into handcuffs. As they were searching her possessions, the 27-year-old woman kept reaching into her pants but claimed she did not have any drugs in her body.
The officers did find a couple of syringes and some marijuana on her person and took her to Holy Family Memorial for some medical treatment.
While being treated, she continuously refused to cooperate, and at one point kissed the breast of a female officer over her uniform.
The woman is now facing charges of Resisting an Officer, Possession of THC, and eight total counts of Bail Jumping, six Misdemeanor and two Felony.
