A Manitowoc man was arrested twice yesterday within a 12 hour period.
The first arrest occurred at around 6:45 AM, as officers were dispatched to a home in the 700 block of North 7th Street after a caller at that location called, stated the address, and hung up.
When officers arrived, they learned that a 41-year-old resident had attacked another resident with a lamp post. He was arrested and charged with Battery, with a Domestic Violence Enhancer.
Then, almost exactly 12 hours later, officers were sent to the same home, because the man had come back, despite having a no-contact order with the victim who also lived there.
The man was arrested again and charged with Violating a 72 Hour Domestic Violence Abuse Order.
