A Manitowoc man is facing several charges after he allegedly held a woman against her will and used physical violence as a form of coercion throughout the month of February.
Officers in the Manitowoc County Drug Unit were preparing to perform a warrant pick up on the 28-year-old man, but a woman who lived with them came forward asking to press other charges as well.
She claimed that the man, who is a convicted felon, had struck her with a gun earlier in the month, and had threatened her many times throughout the month. According to the police report, at one point, he told her “the only was she was going to leave [the home] was in a body bag.”
The victim helped lure the man out of the home, and he was arrested without incident.
He is now facing charges of Aggravated Battery, Indenting Bodily Harm, False Imprisonment, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, each with a Domestic Violence Enhancer.
