The COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Wisconsin did not start off very well.
Senator Andre Jacque of De Pere spoke with Seehafer News recently, and he explained that even though things started slow, the vaccines are now starting to get into people’s arms a bit quicker now.
He said that he and his fellow legislators had gotten lots of phone calls from their constituents on the issue, which they relayed to Governor Tony Evers.
“Wisconsin started much slower,” Jacque stated bluntly. “I think we were 48th out of 50 states at one point, and last in the Midwest. Maybe they needed a little extra attention, and now things seem to be moving much smoother.”
Jacque also said that even though there is no way of knowing for sure how things will pan out in the future, it appears that the pandemic is beginning to wind down and that there is hope on the horizon.
