The Manitowoc common Council approved the land sale and site plan for Dramm Corporation expansion and the land sale to AMMO Incorporated, but locations will be in the I43 Industrial Park.
The 15.62 acres for the Dramm Corporation will include a new building and will be built in phases. Phase 1 would include a 17,000 square-foot office and 87,000 ft. of manufacturing space including a greenhouse.
Phase 2 of the project would include a roughly 87,000 square-foot additional manufacturing space to match the construction of phase 1.
The Dramm Corporation has many consumer gardening and irrigation products. The commercial division specializes in tools and equipment for the greenhouse industry and the Company also features an organic fertilizer division.
The AMMO Incorporated parcel will border South 63rd and Custer Street just behind the Red Line Products site.
The construction of the new AMMO plant is expected to cost between $10 and $12 million and will bring along with it 200 new jobs for the lakeshore community.
