Victoria Prokopovitz went missing eight years ago and her body has never been found.
Starting yesterday (February 15th), her husband James is on trial in Brown County Circuit Court.
The husband is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and other counts.
The defense says this is a missing person case and given the missing woman’s mental health history, it could be a suicide – but not a murder.
Prosecutors say the evidence will show James Prokopovitz killed her.
The missing wife was last seen in 2013.
