
The City of Manitowoc Room Tax Commission met on Monday night (February 15th) in a regular monthly meeting.
During a review of the 2020 room tax revenues and expenses, commission members learned the 2020 Room tax revenues came in it at around $400,000. this unaudited number fell short of the $625,000 projected revenue.
The COVID-19 pandemic was undoubtedly the cause of the lower tax collection but considered better than expected by some commission members.
The Commission will take about $100,000 from the reserve tax money to cover mandatory expenses.
