Bail is set at $500 Recognizance bond for a 31-year-old Manitowoc woman facing charges after allegedly lying to officers about a Domestic incident.
Amber M. Kennedy is charged with Battery with a Domestic Violence Enhancer.
Manitowoc Police responded to a family trouble call at Holy Family Memorial early this (yesterday) morning where Kennedy claimed that her boyfriend had beat her up.
He told officers that Kennedy was the one who attacked him, clawing his face and attempted to put him in a chokehold that was corroborated by witness testimony adding that he felt trapped living there because Kennedy would try to get him arrested whenever he’d try to leave.
She allegedly told her boyfriend “I’m going to the hospital and you’re going to jail.”
The lone condition of bail is that Kennedy have no contact with her boyfriend and her initial appearance is scheduled for March 4th.
