Manitowoc Lutheran pulled off a big upset last night to highlight the area Boys High School Basketball schedule.
The host Lancers edged Sheboygan Lutheran, 77-76, on a free throw by August Hecker with 24-seconds remaining. The Crusaders (21-2) and ranked 3rd in the most recent State Division-4 Coaches poll had several shots to win it in the closing seconds but came up short.
The Lancers (13-10) had 4-players in double figures. Nathaniel Luebke posted a double-double with 17-points & 15-rebounds, while Hecker and Tyler Loberger added 16 points apiece and Bryce Schaefer chipped in 10.
Manitowoc Lutheran will host Mishicot in its’ final regular season game, tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 in a contest to be aired on 97.1 FM WOMT.
