Trice became the first player in school history to amass 1,000 points, 300 assists and 300 rebounds by his junior season.
The Ohio native is also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and currently a grad student studying educational leadership and policy analysis.
Trice already earned his undergraduate degree in communication arts.
The ten finalists will be named later this month and the winner will be announced at the N-C-A-A Final Four.
