Students in the Manitowoc Public School District will soon be able to see all of their friends every school day again.
The MPSD announced early yesterday (February 10th) that all students in grades 4k through 12 will be returning to in-person learning five days a week starting Monday, March 8th.
The School District cited vastly better COVID-19 statistics as part of the reason for the change, along with the fact that around 50 employees of the district have received the first dose of the vaccine.
Those who do not feel comfortable going back to the classrooms can still learn virtually if they so choose. A survey will be sent to families to determine who will continue to learn virtually, and who will return to full-time in-person learning.
Mask wearing will be required for everyone who enters the buildings, and social distancing will be observed whenever possible.
