Bail is set at $4000 recognizance bond for a 36-year-old Sheboygan man who’s accused of robbing a Manitowoc hotel last September.
Samuel Juan Pech appeared today (Thursday) before Manitowoc County Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa on a charge of Attempted Armed Robbery.
Manitowoc Police responded to the Baymont Hotel the morning of September 14th and were told by the clerk on duty that the suspect entered the hotel proceeding to ask for change for a $20 bill.
When the clerk opened the cash drawer Pech allegedly asked for all the money in the drawer. He said all the cash was in an office safe. The clerk proceeded to lock the door behind him and that’s when he called 911. Officers were able to track Pech’s vehicle at his home in Sheboygan on Monday where he admitted to committing the crime and was taken into custody.
The lone condition of bail is that Pech has “no contact” with the Baymont Inn and his initial appearance is scheduled for March 1st at 1:30 p.m.
