A renowned foot surgeon will perform an operation to repair a so-called “turf toe” for Super Bowl quarterback Patrick Mahomes foot today (February 10th).
Doctor Robert Anderson of Green Bay has performed surgery on many big names in the sports world, including Steph Curry, Derek Jeter, Cam Newton and Richard Sherman.
Mahomes is expected to make a complete recovery and be ready in plenty of time for the next season.
Anderson says Packers team doctor Pat McKenzie encouraged him to focus on sports medicine as he was just getting started.
