The Milwaukee Brewers are hoping some magic still resides in the right arm of veteran pitcher Jordan Zimmermann.
The soon-to-be 35-year-old former star for the Washington Nationals has been signed to a minor league contract with an invitation to the major league spring training camp.
Zimmermann signed a big contract to pitch for Detroit after several strong years with the Nationals. It didn’t work out.
He lost four miles-an-hour off his fastball and pitched to an earned run average of 4.52 in 2018 during his best year with the Tigers.
