A former city administrator in Rhinelander has reportedly reached a deferred prosecution agreement in Oneida County.
Two of the three felony charges against Daniel Guild have been dropped – and the third will be dismissed with prejudice as part of the deal. Guild appeared in Oneida County Court Friday by phone.
His charge of misconduct in office will be dropped if he avoids additional felony charges between now and May.
If Guild violates any criminal laws, the agreement will be void. He was in the middle of an investigation in November 2019 which involved Rhinelander City Hall being raided for evidence of record tampering.
Guild returns to court in May.
