Two people had to be treated for injuries following a house fire in Sheboygan over the weekend.
Fire crews were dispatched to the 1500 block of Oakland Avenue at around 12:30 PM on Saturday (February 6th) and were informed that some people were trapped on the second floor of the home.
Crews were able to rescue the stranded residents, before battling the blaze, which appears to have started in the basement before spreading to the first and second floors.
One adult and one child were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but have since been released, and a number of pets were rescued from the home.
While the exact cause of the fire has not been released, we do know it caused an estimated $60,000 in damage.
