A woman was arrested on drug possession charges in Manitowoc after driving a vehicle with the wrong license plate.
An officer with the Manitowoc Police Department was on a routine patrol in the 3000 block of Calumet Avenue at around 8:45 PM on Wednesday (February 3rd), when he ran the license plate of a vehicle in front of him. He was alerted that the plate actually belonged to a different vehicle, so he initiated a traffic stop.
The 23-year-old female driver claimed to be borrowing the vehicle, and was unaware of the plate issue. The driver was also driving without a valid license so the officer had her wait by his squad car, along with the lone passenger.
K-9 Neko then performed a check of the vehicle, and provided a positive alert. A search of the vehicle uncovered a bag, which contained Methamphetamine, THC, and drug paraphernalia.
The woman was then arrested on charges of Possession of Meth, THC, and Drug Paraphernalia, as well as Felony Bail Jumping.
