A judge in Douglas County says there’s enough evidence to charge a 12-year-old from Solon Springs with attempted first-degree homicide.
The ruling came Wednesday at the preliminary hearing for the boy accused of stabbing his seven-year-old brother in the back, abdomen and near the heart.
The criminal complaint says the alleged victim told police his brother put a pillow over his face so no one could hear him scream.
He also said, “I was dead for a while.” The boy is now said to be doing okay.
The suspect is in juvenile detention in Eau Claire. A judge could decide to send the case back to juvenile court on March 5th.
