Attorney General Josh Kaul says he’s disappointed in the wake of emails that seem to show that Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke isn’t expecting much out of the Task Force on Racial Disparity.
A-G Kaul says that it’s an issue that needs real examination in Wisconsin.
Steineke’s email reportedly called co-chairing the task force “a political loser.”
Kaul said, “I hope that the legislature doesn’t sort of take the kind of approach that that email suggested may be the one taken which is not to do much, and instead this is really a task force that’s going to lead to real progress.”
