Dane County officials have applied to host one of 100 federal COVID-19 vaccination sites.
President Joe Biden has said he will use the Defense Production Act to boost vaccine supplies and will work with FEMA to set up the vaccination centers around the country by the end of this month. If federal approval is received, the Alliant Energy Center in Madison would become one of those sites.
Dane County Executive Joe Parisi hasn’t said when the county might know if it has been chosen. Parisi says Dane County is ready to help end the coronavirus pandemic.
