Manitowoc County Health Department is encouraging family and friends to help older adults or those without internet to sign up for vaccine appointments.
While the workers manning the phones at the Health Department are willing and able to help those who need help, they are swamped with calls, according to Emergency Services Director Travis Waack.
The State notifies the Health Department each week (typically on Friday afternoons) about the number of vaccines that will be shipped to the Department. Once notified, the Health Department opens the online scheduling tool to the public.
