AAA has released their weekly Fuel Gauge Report, and it shows that Eastern Wisconsin has a lower average price per gallon of gas than the Western half does.
For example, Manitowoc County’s average price is sitting at $2.24 per gallon, while in Buffalo County, which is on the western border of the state, level with Manitowoc, is at $2.36.
Brown, Outagamie, and Calumet County are all sitting at $2.18, While Kewaunee County is reporting an average of $2.22, and Sheboygan County is at $2.23. Door County has the highest average price in the area, currently sitting at $2.29, and is the only county in the area above the state average, which is $2.26.
Wisconsin is well below the national average, which currently sits at $2.42. California is reporting the highest gas prices, averaging $3.42 per gallon.
