6th District Wisconsin Congressman Glenn Grothman is expressing concern about two stories from the Biden White House last week.
The Republican who represents Manitowoc County in Washington said he is committed to protecting life from conception to natural death, so, he was shocked by President Biden’s plan to encourage Congress to undo the Hyde Amendment, which prevents your tax dollars from being used to pay for abortions.
Grothman says he joined nearly 200 of his colleagues to unite in opposition to any budget bill that removes the Hyde amendment protections because all humans deserve a chance at life.
The second story was Biden’s decision to end the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance policy, instituted by his predecessor Donald Trump. It states no foreign aid money shall go to overseas organizations that provide abortions unless they end this practice.
The congressman along with 136 of his colleagues sent a letter to the President to voice the concerns of millions of Americans who take issue with their money being sent overseas to abortion providers.
