Regional Girls Basketball pairings have been announced for the upcoming WIAA Tournament.
In Division-1, Manitowoc Lincoln is seeded sixth and will visit the 3-seed, Fond du lac, next Tuesday night (February 9th).
In Division-2, Two Rivers with the 3-seed is hosting Denmark. In Division-3, Howards Grove has the #1 seed and the Tigers play the winner of Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian and New Holstein while #3 Kiel is at 2nd seeded Valders.
In Division-4, Mishicot and Roncalli have opening night byes: The top-ranked Indians have the 1-seed and will meet the Gibraltar/Sevastopol winner. The Jets, who own the 2 seed, will host the winner of Algoma at Manitowoc Lutheran (#6 vs. #3). And, Reedsville drew the 5 seed with the Panthers traveling to Manawa next Tuesday. The winner then visits #1 seeded Hilbert. The brackets will be reseeded prior to the Sectional semifinals which are scheduled for February 18th.
The State Tournament semifinal pairings will be determined by reseeding all 4-teams in each division. State championship games will be played Thursday thru-Saturday February 25-to-27th at two different sites. One of those sites is the La Crosse Center while the 2nd location is yet to be determined.
