It’s all a matter of perspective.
Republican State Senator Mary Felzkowski says last week’s vote to repeal the governor’s public health emergency order was about stopping his “illegal overreach.” Felzkowski says it wasn’t about masks or mandates – pointing out neither word was mentioned in the resolution.
Appearing on the statewide “UPFRONT” program with her Sunday, Democratic State Senator Kelda Roys said that argument is “completely bogus.”
If the Assembly approves the resolution, the mask mandate will end and Roys says masks are the “most effective public measure” there is.
She says the governor acted because the Legislature refused to act.
