Penn State beat the Badgers Saturday by a score of 81-71, claiming a win over Wisconsin for the first time in a decade.
Wisconsin had a 13-game winning streak against the Nittany Lions snapped. Wisconsin led at the half, 41-34, but Penn State took the lead in the first few seconds of the second half and never trailed again.
Coach Greg Gard pointed to a mediocre defensive effort by his team.
Nate Reuvers led Wisconsin (13-and-5, 7-and-4 Big Ten) with 18 Points. Aleem Ford had 15 and Tyler Wahl came off the bench to score 13. The Badgers missed 19-of-25 3-point shots.
The same two teams play in the Kohl Center Tuesday.
